Details
We continually work to ensure our ingredients are ethically and sustainably sourced.
- All LOVE-IN products contain zero colorants (no dyes or pigments).
Our Wax
The organic soy wax we use is a completely natural renewable resource, non-toxic, biodegradable, clean burning, Kosher Certified, completely free of animal derived substances and is not tested on animals.
Our Wicks
Our lead-free wicks are made of cotton and interwoven with thin paper into a flat braid.
This design creates a cleaner burning wick with additional structural strength, and a more efficient flame.
Candle Jars & Lids
Our candle jars are made of beautiful embossed glass. They remind us of the vintage Avon-style bottles from the 1960s and '70s.
Ummm... What is that on top of my candle?
“Frosting” - You may notice some of your candles or aroma melts may have a "frosting" on the top layer (no, not actual cake frosting, yum!) … but a crystalline layer. Frosting is a unique and natural effect of using 100% natural soy wax. This should not be considered a flaw. Frosting does not affect the performance of your candle, it will still burn and throw scent as beautifully as ever!
How to get the most out of your Love-in candle
- Each time before you light your candle, trim the wick to 1/4” (5-6 mm). Trimming your wicks each time will keep your candles burning without any black soot and will give your candles a longer burn time.
- If you want your candle to burn evenly and last as long as possible, be sure to light and let your candle burn and pool completely across the first time. Each time you re-light it it will continue to burn in the same pattern.
- Have you ever had a candle that “tunnels” or burns straight down the center? What a waste, right?! Allowing it to burn and pool across completely will prevent that from happening.
- We recommend to not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Be mindful of keeping your candle away from fans and breezes ~ that will make your candle burn at a faster rate.
- When your candle wax level gets down to lower than 1/2” (or 1 cm) the likelihood of the hot flame brushing against the sides and the bottom of the glass jar could cause it to shatter. It’s not worth the risk.
- Once the remaining 1/2" of wax has cooled completely, you can can carefully remove it from the glass jar and re-use it as an aroma melt until the scent is gone.🌱
Care
Never leave candle unattended. Keep out of reach of little humans and our furry friends. 🐾
And remember, your container will get very warm, so best to let the candle cool completely before touching or moving it.
We understand that some of our candle scents can put you in a relaxing mood, but please do not fall asleep with a candle burning.
Putting the flame out
You don’t have to buy a snuffer. Just use the lid, and it’ll smother the flame in the same way. Plus, the lid will keep dust and dirt out.
Don’t forget to repurpose your beautiful embossed glass jar ☺︎🌿:
- 10oz jars are great to hold makeup brushes
- indoor herb planter
- candy jar
- to hold pens, pencils, paperclips or paintbrushes
- fill with chocolates and re-gift
so many great ideas!
🌿(refill program available, if you're a local)
Aroma Melts
Remember that not all of the wax will melt away like a candle. When the scent is gone, it's time for a new melt!
Recycle or re-use the empty aroma melts container by washing first with soapy water. Great for a flower-shaped chocolate mold!
Essential oils
- Concentrated essences from plants, diluted with organic jojoba oil in our AROMATIC ROLL-ON.
- We do not promote or encourage the use of essential oil internally ~ these are for their aromatic and topical benefits.
- Ensure that you are aware of the contraindications of the oils that you are using and consult a certified aromatherapist (or your doctor) if you have questions or health concerns.
